East of Idaho - Part II

Greetings! No doubt all eight of you have waited with bated breath for the continued recap of our Montana adventures. Rather than give you a lengthy missive, here's a bunch of photos and video.

East of Idaho - Part I

For those of you geographically-challenged, we're talking about The Big Sky Country State, Montana. Due to the abundance of pictures, and information, we're making this a two part series. But unlike the Matrix movies, we'll aim to make the sequel as good as the original. Ready?

So the first question you are no doubt asking is, "why were you all in Montana?" Aside from it being moose country, and having a large quantity of nuclear missile silos to admire, it also happens to be home to our sister and brother (in-law for half of us) Jaquelyn and Josh Little, and their two new twins, Evan and Ryan. Go back to our July posts to learn more about them.

Thus, we found our way to Great Falls, Montana. Home of the world's shortest river, hometown of NFL mega-super-bust Ryan Leaf, "Hoots", and Fry Bread. Quite a resume, indeed. But, despite such wonderful notables, we were focused on enjoying some time with family.

Our first few days we walked along the Missouri and the Roe River, and gawked at the huge Effen trout*. We also spent an entire day drinking fermented beverages and cruising along in a float boat on beautiful Holter Lake near Helena. The non-males in our group also found out how fun it is to relieve oneself in 50 degree lake water.

By the way, did you notice Evan and Ryan are cute?

Another 20 Something Falls

Carla Hulslander, our longtime friend, turned not-twenty-something recently, and we got to celebrate her this weekend at Emmetts in West Dundee. I'll be brief, and to-the-point: Happy Birthday Carla, here's to another thirty!

Westbury is Back

Psst...it's September. And that means it's football season. And what does that mean? No, not just drunk fat people tailgating shirtless and painting their bodies while jeering Brett Favre. It means it's fantasy football season, praise the Good Lord.

Westbury Fantasy League 2009's draft was held this past Saturday. It was festive, it was raucous, it was glorious. Alex, longtime friend and fantasy football junkie, flew into town as usual for a few days of fun. It was a fun and juvenile experience as usual.

The Moon Monsters are back, beware.
